Google: Sundar Pichai Gets Promotion

Indian-origin Sundar Pichai, who is the current chief of Google, scales new heights as he is now been appointed as CEO of its parent company Alphabet too. Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin were leading Alphabet untill they announced that Pichai will be taking over company’s CEO job, besides being Google CEO.

Indian corporates and tech bosses are quite happy with Sundar getting elevated to new heights in his career and they’re congratulating him on Twitter. Page and Brin will continue to be the shareholders and Alphabet’s board of directors and in a joint letter to employees, they wrote: “In a letter to employees, Page and Brin wrote: “We’ve never been ones to hold on to management roles when we think there’s a better way to run the company.”

This development makes Sundar Pichai one of the most powerful corporate leaders in world and India is proud of his latest achievement. Speaking about his new role and Larry, Pichai tweeted, “I’m excited about Alphabet’s long term focus on tackling big challenges through technology. Thanks to Larry & Sergey, we have a timeless mission, enduring values and a culture of collaboration & exploration – a strong foundation we’ll continue to build on.”
