Legendary actress late Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor, who made her grand debut with Dhadak (2018) is now busy with copious amounts of projects and is undeniably shining bright in a short period of time.
Her next film is a biopic and Jhanvi looked all confident in the first look poster released. The biopic on India’s first female Air Force Officer Gunjan Saxena is being made and we believe Jahnvi will do full justice to the role.
The film has been titled Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. It is being co-produced by Karan Johar and he shared the new poster of the movie on his Instagram, with a caption “With unabashed courage & bravery, she made her domain in a man’s world.”
The film is based on true events and the story will revolve around Gunjan’s determination and her professional journey. Jahnvi Kapoor, in the poster, is seen wearing an IAF uniform with a proud and satisfying expression. The poster also has a group of male pilots surrounded and clapping for her.
In the past, a pilot job was never considered as an Indian woman’s forte’ and Gunjan, who overcame all the hurdles, is said to be beautifully portrayed in the film. In a patriarchal work environment, Gunjan will prove the belief wrong and stood as an inspiration for future generations. The film is directed by Sharan Sharma and is scheduled for a release on March 13, 2020.
