After Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s jab stating that he will give a “return gift” to his AP counterpart N. Chandrababu Naidu in the upcoming Assembly Elections in Andhra Pradesh, the TDP chief today said that KCR needs to decide whether he wants to go with the BJP or the Congress.
“I have seen KCR grow within our party. I nurtured him. I offered him to come to together to work in Telangana. He rejected. Now, BJP is putting the nation in danger. So, if he is really interested to do something for the nation, I welcome KCR to join us and we can work together in the interest of the nation,” said Chandrababu Naidu at a Conclave by a National Media House.
Stating that he is ready to work with any political party that will show the BJP its place, the AP Chief Minister said he welcomes any party to join them as well as the Congress to protest against the high-handedness of the BJP government.
Speaking about the PV Narasimha Rao’s ascension to the post of a Prime Minister, Chandrababu said Narasimha Rao introduced economic reforms and under him India has leapfrogged into a great nation despite being a minority government. “Now, Narendra Modi came to power after BJP won absolute majority, but still he is not doing anything. So, despite the challenging circumstances he was in, Narasimha Rao was better PM than Modi,” he added.
With his statements at the Conclave, Chandrababu Naidu has clarified that he will be the kingmaker and has sent out a signal, welcoming KCR into the alliance of anti-BJP forces. We are yet to see how KCR will react to this appeal of his political rival.
