When the film was announced it was said that it will be made with a budget of Rs 150 Cr.After the completion of first schedule, the PROs have begun sending press notes that the budget has shot up to Rs 200 Cr. Till about a month ago, the team sang the same tune of Rs 200 Cr.
After a Bollywood production house bagged the theatrical rights for the Hindi version, they have now started claiming that the budget has shot up to Rs 300 Cr. This is quite strange.Even before they began filming, they had talks with Kenny Bates, the Hollywood stunt master, and fixed the budget at Rs 150 Cr.Now, it is a different figure, so it is clear that they are hyping it to do more business, as Prabhas has huge craze right now.
By end of the movie shoot, the team may add another Rs 100 Cr to its budget to hype it further.Of late, the production houses and PR teams have been issuing all sorts of hyped figures for budget and collections to sustain the interest and ‘social media’ paid trade analysts are sharing the same info to feed their followers.
