Is This TRS-YSRCP’s Plan B?

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao seems to have come up with a Plan B, in case the Congress falls short of numbers. According to the TRS Chief, he would bargain with the Congress to isolate TDP and its Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu if the party wants the TRS in its fold.

This Plan B of the TRS will be executed after the results are out on May 23rd. The move to remove Chandrababu Naidu from the alliance is also another plan by TRS and YSR Congress to isolate him from national politics. According to the TRS and YSRCP, both the parties expected to get about 35 Lok Sabha seats which they believe will make the two Telugu states crucial for bargaining their bit at the Centre.

TRS is also confident that YSR Congress will storm into power in Andhra Pradesh. While Plan A of both the parties is to support any party that comes to the power at the Centre, Plan B makes it clear that they do not want to be in the same alliance as the TDP.

There is information that Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath had spoken to TRS and YSRCP chiefs about joining the Congress-led alliance. However, they have conveyed to him that they will not be attending the meeting if Chandrababu is present. It is also learnt that YSRCP and TRS held a meeting following the invitation from Congress.
