Despite being a commercial star, Charan hasn’t done films that prove his capacity as an actor till date.Well, that is largely because of the film he has done till date, wherein he has chosen mass subjects which barely require any performance skills.But when Sukumar approached him with Rangasthalam, Charan took up the role of ‘sound engineer’ to challenge himself.
One look at the trailer of Rangasthalam and one can tell that Charan is capable of coming up with very good performance, provided he has a good director.But now has come the testing time for Charan. He has to prove that he has it in him to take on the market tooThough he has had commercial success, Charan is still in the Rs 50 crore bracket, though other Telugu stars have by-passed him long ago.
Mahesh, Prabhas, Allu Arjun, NTR have all made it to Rs 80 crore and beyond range. So, will Charan reach the mark with Rangasthala
Though he has a film lined up with Rajamouli, the film’s success will not be attributed to Charan as it’s a multi-starrer being directed by Baahubali director.
So, Rangasthalam is Charan’s chance of proving his individual capacity. His fans are now anxiously waiting for the film to hit the screens.
