JC Diwakar Reddy and Prabhakar Reddy are strong leaders of Anantapur district. For over three decades they were in politics and since the last few months or so, they are constantly saying that they would side-line themselves to make way for their successors.
As said, they have held talks with TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu on numerous occasions. On Wednesday, Naidu reviewed the Anantapur district political equations of TDP and confirmed candidates for nine constituencies. Five constituencies are in pending and it will be once again Nandamuri Balakrishna who will contest from Hindupuram. In this very meeting Naidu is said to have acknowledged the plea of JC brothers who are wanting to bring their sons. JC Pawan Reddy and Asmith Reddy also attended the meeting and Naidu personally called both of them and gave a pat on their shoulders.
So it’s like an informal go from the TDP boss. This means Diwakar Reddy’s son Pawan will be contesting from Anantapur Parliament while Asmith will contest for Tadipatri assembly.
However, the JC side boycotted the reviewing meeting because of taking opinions of local leaders in written form. Despite that the TDP leadership has confirmed ticket to sitting MLA Prabhakar Chowdhary who is the follower of JC.
