TRS secretary general and MP K Keshava Rao clarified that he does not own a single inch of land in Shamshabad area. Speaking to media persons at his residence here on Sunday, Rao said, that the land which he had at Hafeezpur village of Ibrahimpatnam mandal was purchased while he was in Congress party. Rao said that the Virgo Media Ltd had approached him with all documents to sell 50 acres of land in the mandal in March 2013, when he was in the Congress party.
“After thorough verification of the documents like Court Decree, government documents etc and convinced of the genuineness, my family members agreed through an agreement of sale in March 2013 to buy them,” said Keshava Rao.
The TRS leader said that they went for registration of land in right royal way and Ibrahimpatnam sub registrar raised some reservations. Then, we went to High Court and the court gave directions on which the registration was effected, Keshava Rao said..
Keshava Rao objected to use of his picture and that of his daughter in Shamshabad land issue which appeared in some newspapers. “As public persons, we go to many functions. That does not mean I am going to buy land everywhere, he added.
