Ranveer Singh’s upcoming flick ’83’ is one of the long-awaited films in Bollywood and it is a biopic on the former legendary cricketer, Kapil Dev. The story is said to focus majorly on the 1983 world cup series where Kapil played a prominent role for the historic win.
The film is being helmed by Kabir Khan and presented by Reliance Entertainment. The latest news is that Kapil Dev’s 23-year-old daughter Amiya will be the assistant director for her dad’s biopic. Also, Kapil himself is training Ranveer to make it easier for the actor in terms of mannerisms and body language.
Coming to Amiya, she has just graduated from the college and with a lot of zeal, took the big responsibility of assisting Kabir Khan for the biopic. Kapil says that Amiya knows a lot about cricket and its detailed history. In 1983, Indian won over West Indies in a most unexpected and thrilling way. The same is being portrayed in 83.
The shooting will start around May in London and Scotland and will tentatively release on April 10, 2020.
