He wanted to ensure safety, so Karan didn’t push him much. But when he shot for ‘Dhamaka’, Karan Johar was upset. They had an indoor meeting where Karan expressed his discontent.

Few media portals first spread the news that Karthik had been finalized for Dharma Productions’ next film to be directed by Sharan Sharma and Trupti Dimri as Heroine has also been finalized for this. When the enthusiasm grew among fans on this news, Karan Johar tweeted himself and denied any such casting.
But on top of that sources now disclose, Karthik Aaryan has been cast out from Dharma Productions’ Dostana 2. Film maker Karan Johar has decided not to work in any film with Karthik as he is blacklisted now. It is learnt that Karan wouldn’t be allowing him to associate in any of the films under Dharma production banner hence forth.
