In the latest episode of Karthika Deepam, Soundarya is infuriated by Karthik’s words. She decides to kick Monitha out of the city but Anand Rao cautions her adding that it might backfire and Karthik can end up marrying Monitha.
At home, Deepa asks Karthik to consume alcohol at home instead of a bar. Karthik tells Deepa that she can’t butter him with this and he will never accept her as his wife. She replies to him confidently that nothing can stop them from living together.
Next morning, Hima ridicules Sourya as the latter doesn’t know her surname. She shares the same with Soundarya wondering how anyone can not know their surname. Sourya feels embarrassed.
Adithya tells Sourya to take their surname. Hima questions the same. Soundarya quickly intervenes and tells Hima that she can share the same since her father is sponsoring Sourya’s education. Sourya gets offended. She asks Hima not to mock her in this issue again and leaves. Soundarya scolds Hima and asks her to apologize to Sourya immediately. Hima apologizes to Soundarya and leaves to pacify Sourya.
Adithya is moved by Sourya’s suffering. He asks Soundarya why they can’t reveal the truth to Karthik and relieve Sourya from this pain. Soundarya walks away in disappointment.
Karthik scolds Deepa for her unhygienic way of preparing food. Meanwhile, he gets a call from Monitha who invites him for breakfast. This leaves Deepa annoyed. Karthik reiterates that he is going to stay in her house only for one more day.
Meanwhile, at home, Soundarya finds an old banner of Sourya’s naming ceremony. She gets emotional thinking about the plight of Sourya.
