In the latest episode of Karthika Deepam, Deepa rushes to see Hima. On the other hand, Soundarya calls up Anand Rao, informs him that Deepa is coming home realizing that Hima is her daughter. Soundarya further asks him to send Karthik and Hima out. Hima gets a call and she is told that her friend’s father has suffered a cardiac arrest. Anand Rao uses this opportunity and asks Karthik to leave right away. Karthik gets suspicious over Anand Rao’s behaviour.
While they are about to leave, Deepa arrives and gets emotional seeing Hima. She hugs Hima and doesn’t let her leave. Karthik’s suspicion grows. Soundarya also reaches home to find Deepa. Karthik asks Soundarya the reason behind Deepa’s strange behaviour. Soundarya asks him to leave assuring him to reveal later.
As they are gone, Deepa finds fault with Soundarya and Anand Rao for separating her daughter from her. Calling it a selfish act by Soundarya, Deepa declares that she needs her daughter right away. Soundarya tries to explain Deepa that she did this to unite her with Karthik. And Karthik will be disturbed if he comes to know the truth. Deepa says that she needs no one but her daughter. Soundarya pleads Deepa to let Hima stay with her father. Deepa declines her request. Soundarya explains that even Hima needs time to accept the fact and asks for some time. Deepa eventually acknowledges the fact.
