Mahesh Babu’s Mother Indira Devi Breathes Her Last!

The Tollywood industry woke up to the sad news of the demise of Indira Devi, mother of Superstar Mahesh Babu. Indira Devi breathed her last during the early hours of Wednesday. It is said that Indira Devi is not keeping well for some time and she has been suffering from health-related issues. Indira Devi is the first wife of yesteryear Superstar, Krishna.

If we have to take anything from the media reports, Indira Devi was admitted to a private hospital a few days back for treatment. Unfortunately, the treatment could not save her. It is said that Indira Devi was kept on ventilator support for treatment at the private hospital. Earlier today, she passed away.

This is the second blow the Ghattamaneni family went through this year. Earlier this year, Mahesh Babu’s elder brother Ghattamaneni Ramesh Babu passed away. The prolonged illness claimed his wife. Now Indira Devi is also said to have passed away for the same reason.

Her last rites will be held at the Mahaprasthanam. Before that, her mortal mortals will be placed at the Padmalaya studios for the family members, Tollywood members, and fans to pay their last respects to her. Ghattamaneni fans are mourning her death and sending support to their matinee idol in the tough time.

“Smt. Ghattamaneni Indira Devi, wife of veteran actor Krishna and mother of Mahesh Babu passed away a short while ago. She had been suffering from illness for quite some time now. Her mortal remains will be kept at Padmalaya Studios for fans to visit at 9 am today and later the last rites will be performed at Maha Prasthanam,” the Ghattamaneni family said revealing details of her last rites, as per the media reports.

Superstar Krishna and Indira Devi have five children- two sons and three daughters. Mahesh Babu is one of five children. Mahesh Babu is very close to his mother. In many interviews, he mentioned how close he is to his mother.

The Tollywood fraternity is mourning Indira Devi’s demise. The likes of Megastar Chiranjeevi, director Bobby, and writer Kona Venkat offered their condolences. They said they are saddened by hearing the news of Indira Devi’s demise.
