King Nagarjuna expected Hello to be a huge blockbuster. He thought that it would give the much needed break for his son Akhil as an actor. But things didn’t turn out as expected.Despite generating decent word of mouth, Hello ended up as a box office disaster. Everyone that invested in the film has lost a huge chunk of their money.
Buyers of Hello have reportedly approached Nagarjuna for compensation. Nag has given the distribution rights of Rangula Ratnam, produced by him to the buyers of Hello.Although Rangula Ratnam isn’t big enough to cover their losses, it should help them to recover a bit if it clicks. Rangula Ratnam starring Raj Tarun is releasing on Jan 14.
It wouldn’t be cakewalk for this low budget film as it is competing with heavyweights like Agnyathavasi and Jai Simha.However, history proves that low budget family entertainers have done well for Sankranthi in spite of the tough competition.
So Rangula Ratnam should get benefitted by the festive holidays if it generates positive word of mouth.
