Senior stars like Megastar Chiru and Akkineni Nagarjuna are bang on when it comes to deciding a film’s fate at the editing table. They could take care of some sluggish parts and carve the beauty out of scrap too. That’s no director could say no to them when they want to step into an editing suite.
Buzz has that though director Rahul Ravindran has carved Manmadhudu 2 quite well, there are areas in the movie that needs some repair. Right now Nagarjuna is said to be sitting with the editor to take care of those flawed areas. He’s said to have chopped out some 15 minutes from the film, as those scenes are disturbing the flow of the movie.
Earlier Nag took care of Chay and Akhil’s films in the same manner and helped them understand what works and what doesnt in a movie. And now, it looks like he’s teaching all his experience to young director Rahul Ravindran, whose debut film Chi La Sow won critical acclaim but hasn’t made huge money.
Featuring Nagarjuna and Rakul Preet in the leads, Manmadhudu 2 is hitting cinemas on August 9th.
