Spyder was a huge disaster. The buyers who invested heavily also lost heavily due to the film’s debacle. Nearly Rs 60 crore was lost in all. So, the team chose to forget the film, so did the audience.
But the film’s producer stoked an old injury by releasing a 50-day success poster.
The film was labeled a disaster immediately after its release. To add to it, the film was taken off theatres pretty early on.
Given such a backdrop, the producer released a poster saying the film completed a 50 day run. Naturally, it was audiences’ turn to be flabbergasted.
To forget the pain of Spyder’s debacle, Mahesh Babu got busy with the shoot of Koratala Siva’s Bharath Ane Nenu.
Murugadoss too got busy with the shoot of Vijay’s film. So raking up the pain that they wanted to forget surprised all.
On the other hand, Zee TV is in a dilemma. The channel that bought the film for Rs 25 crore is now in a fix regarding selling the film. If the film does well on telly, the channel and fans of Mahesh will be happy.
