Rafale ‘secrets’ in Parikkar’s bedroom

Amid huge ruckus of Cauvery issue by the AIADMK leaders and the Congress on the other side in Lok Sabha today, Congress President Rahul Gandhi said that the Prime Minister has no guts to answer questions on Rafale deal and hence, is using the Bofors and AugustaWestland Deal to drag his family to divert the issue.

Calling the Prime Minister’s Interview as “fixed” interview, Rahul pointed out that “Modi doesn’t have the guts to face questions in the Parliament.” Interestingly, for the first time, even Trinamool Congress and few BJP leaders spoke against the Rafale deal. Rahul Gandhi said: “The PM seemed scared and tired. He said no one is questioning him on the Rafale deal. But, actually the whole country is questioning you over it,” demanding a Joint Parliamentary Committee investigation over the Rafale deal.

Rahul Gandhi also indicated that his party has access to tapes which state that Goa Chief Minister who was the Defence Minister at the time of the deal is said to have agreed that the “files related to the Rafale jet deal were in his bedroom.” In addition, Gandhi replied to Arun Jaitley that “I understand you are terrified and hence, will not play the tapes here.”

Reacting to Rahul Gandhi’s statements, Arun Jaitley said “It is a tragedy for the Grand Old party that it is today headed by a person who doesn’t have an understanding of what a combat aircraft is. And, some people have a natural dislike for the truth. This is a case where there is dislike for the truth.”
