Telangana CM KCR announced to take action to encourage deliveries at Government hospitals. He said govt will give Rs 13,000 if a girl child is born and Rs 12,000 to a boy child. CM KCR made this announcement in his meeting with Anganwadi Workers and expressed concern regarding the caesareans encouraged in private hospitals. He said a separate kit will be provided to the mother after delivery containing oils, soaps and other necessary things of the baby. He said the amount will be handed over to the mother in 3 instalments. Before delivery Rs 4,000, at the time of delivery Rs 4,000 and at the time of immunisation to the baby Rs 5,000 will be given if it is a girl child or Rs 4,000 to a boy child.
