Signing off in Chandrababu’s style

Clad in off-white attire, AP Chief Minister and TDP Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu gave a powerpoint presentation in his own inimitable style last evening, with just one hour to go before the election campaigning ended. His presentation was elaborate and included the development works of the Telugu Desam government, the investments brought to Andhra Pradesh and the jobs created along with welfare schemes’ support to people.

Highlighting the advantage of his government and the impact it created for the state after an unjust bifurcation, he switched to the next segment of the presentation which highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s promises to AP in Tirupati, during his PM campaigning in 2013. Chandrababu played Modi’s videos on how the Centre would treat AP on par with Delhi and offer financial assistance to the state. Even his presence during the Amaravati-foundation laying ceremony also reiterated the same promises. Explaining this, Chandrababu said how Modi is now hell-bent on destroying his government and stopping AP’s growth.

Another key segment of his presentation included Telangana Chief Minister and TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s anti-Andhra statements along with TRS leaders’ comments on Special Status and Polavaram project. The videos depicted how KCR badmouthed Andhra people and criticised “Andhra food” which is famous across the world. Another video of KCR showed his stand against Special Status to Andhra Pradesh, which he flipped two days ago and said he support Special Status for AP.

Other videos included TRS leader Harish Rao’s comments against granting Special Status to AP and TRS MP Kavitha’s blatant criticism of YSRCP President Jaganmohan Reddy, who is now an ally of the TRS. In the video, Kavitha said: “We don’t want criminals like Jagan in Telangana jails. Shift him to Rajahmundry jail and let him rot there. We don’t want Telangana jails spoilt by Andhra criminals.” All these portrayed a clear pictures of TRS’ leaders bitter hate towards people and leaders of AP.

Following this, Chandrababu said that the future of the state is at stake, adding that Jaganmohan Reddy will rob the state of its future and create a mess of all the development works taken up by the current government. He also told them that “this election is not about me or a political party, it is about the sunrise state of Andhra Pradesh. Vote wisely,” he added, signing off as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, in his own tech-savvy style.
