Akkineni AKhil’s third outing Mr. Majnu took an average start at the ticket windows.
It is not up there with Akhil’s first two films in terms of opening day numbers. However, Mr. Majnu has cost less compared to other movies of Akhil so far.
The film was sold for around Rs. 23 crore and it got a shade above or Rs. 4 crore worldwide on its day 1.
It will need to maintain the hold for the weekend and keep steady thereafter to be a safe venture for its investors.
The film opened to mixed reports and reviews, which isn’t a positive sign given the low pre release buzz.
Manikarnika, which also released in Telugu couldn’t grab the attention of our audience in spite of Krish’s name attached to it.
F2 is still going well at the box office and is set for another strong weekend. It has surpassed Rs. 70 crore share mark today and is looking good enough to reach Rs. 75 crore mark by the end of its theatrical run.
