Two Votes For KCR?

While there have been protests over deletion of voters from lists and bogus names appearing on their behalf in some places across Telangana, now TRS Chief’s name also seems to have appeared in two lists, says TPCC Working President A. Revanth Reddy.

According to him, K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s name has figures in two constituencies – Gajwel and Siddipet. “How can a person have two votes in two different constituencies? It is unconstitutional. We demand a through probe into this matter by CEO Rajat Kumar,” he added. Addressing a press conference, he displayed the copies of the downloaded forms from State Election Commission website as evidence.

“KCR got registered in Erravelli and Chintamadaka. It looks like they wanted to do this intentionally. In one, his surname is mentioned as a prefix and in the other as suffix. Despite alerting the EC several time during such irregularities, they have ignored complaints,” he added.

With all the hullabaloo of the irregularities and discrepancies in voter’s list, it looks like the State Election Commission was in a haste to conduct elections without complete preperation. This reflects badly not only on the EC’s unpreparedness but also about how their negligence has deprived several citizens of their right to vote.
