“Bhaagamathie” has been postponed from Sankranthi race. Since Rajinikanth’s “2.0” also got pushed to April, trade pundits predicted that “Bhaagamathie” would lock this ideal date. However, the production house UV Creations is not interested in bagging that date.
Instead, UV Creations is looking for its lucky date — February 8. The production house’s first film “Mirchi” got released on the same date in 2013. It is a lucky date for the producers. Hence, they are looking to lock the date for “Bhaagamathie” as well.
The film has been postponed from Sankranthi due to delay in post-production work. They are not confident of readying the movie by January.
Also, the producers are planning heavy promotions in Tamil and Malayalam languages. They don’t want competition from big movies in Tamil and Malayalam market.
The production house is planning to release the teaser in December. Around that time, the movie’s release date would be announced.
Touted as one of the costliest movies in Telugu film industry, “Bhaagamathie” is a horror thriller with revenge angle.
