The Telangana Congress leaders received an emergency call from the high command and all important leaders flew to the national capital with their views in their minds.
In the war room, Congress president Rahul Gandhi held a meeting with the Telangana Congress leaders and the first question he asked was ”Why did the party lose in the assembly elections?”
”You (leaders) had ample time! Congress had the recognition that it granted separate Telangana, party has strong leaders and as per your wish, party went for the alliance with TDP and others. But still Congress did not come in power!” are some of other questions Rahul asked.
Instead of taking the responsibility, T’Congress leaders blamed TRS party of taking advantage of the governance and alleged that it distributed loads of money to the voters. Few leaders who are upset with TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy since very long time, complained that the party lacked leadership and delay in allotment of tickets.
LB Nagar and Mathani MLAs Sudhir Reddy and Sridhar Babu urged Rahul to change in-charge of Telangana state, Kuntia and also opined that there is no need of four to five working presidents for a small state. They also appealed the high command to announce the candidates for Lok Sabha elections as early as possible and so that it will be an advantage.
Rahul did give a thought about the leaders views and is expected to make major changes in coming days. Will there be a change in TPCC? Unlikely!
