#YesBank: Anil Ambani in trouble?

The Enforcement Directorate which is probing the Yes Bank irregularities, has summoned businessman Anil Ambani and asked him to appear before them on the allegations of money laundering. Anil Ambani’s Reliance Group is said to have taken a sum of Rs 12,800 crore as loan during UPA regime.

However, Anil Ambani claimed that he can’t appear before ED as he is not keeping good health these days but as and when he recovers he would inform the ED officials. Last week, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that Anil Ambani is one among many who have troubled Yes Bank’s bad loans and so ED wants to question the younger Ambani.

If Anil Ambani makes before ED, his statement will be recorded under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Anil Ambani is already in deep in troubles with his companies under his control are facing huge losses. In Sony Erricson case, he was helped by his brother Mukesh Ambani from facing jail.
