Young hero Naga Shourya thought of giving a blockbuster to himself and wrote an action story that could change his image forever. It came out in the form of “Aswathama” last Friday and the hero claimed (he is a producer also) the film is making huge money at the moment, driving them to full recovery of budget.
Despite the fact that Naga Shourya tried to get major attention by doing hefty promotions, somehow the film’s content didn’t click as expected. And by first Monday itself, there were some drops in the collection. Especially in A centres like Hyderabad, the multiplexes are showing not even 20-30% fills such that the recovery of investment would be great. The situation is duller by Wednesday, as the movie is not able to ring registers.
In the wake of Samantha and Sharwa’s Jaanu going to hit cinemas this Friday, surely Aswathama has to further take the brunt of the box office. Also, the other two biggies Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and Sarileru Neekevvaru which are running in theatres from Sankranthi season, are also failing to pull 50% fulls for the kind of blockbuster status they have claimed.
