TDP Rajamahendravaram Lok Sabha candidate Maganti Roopa Devi was almost attacked by YSR Congress supporters during her election campaign. This incident has happened in Chikkala village of Chagallu mandal in the East Godavari.
Roopa Devi along with one more woman TDP leader was campaigning in the village. However she had no clue about YSRCP’s campaign in the same village. Roopa Devi came across YSRCP’s camp accidentally and supporters of the fan party raised slogans against her and made signals to leave the place immediately. Though she was surrounded by guards, few of them tried their best to reach Roopa Devi.
Speaking about this incident, Roopa Devi literally expressed her anguish. ‘Just for campaign, I was almost attacked. If there is no security for two woman, imagine what would be the condition, if YSRCP comes into power. The state will not be safe for woman and the crimes would certainly increase. I request and appeal to the people to look at these incidents and vote,’ said the Rajahmundry candidate.
