Stephen Ravindra who was the chief security officer to late YS Rajasekhar Reddy has been appointed as Andhra Pradesh Intelligence Chief but it is not officially announced. Currently Stephen is working in Telangana as Hyderabad range IG and he will undergo an inter-state transfer.
Stephen Ravindra has worked many years in Rayalaseema and in Greyhounds department. He has the reputation of tracing key information of terrorists and their activities with sources and has very good experience in intelligence wing. Not just on work front, Stephen also maintains cordial relations with YS family.
The transfer process of Stephen Ravindra will take at least 15 days. The Telangana government has to write to the Centre about relieving Stephen while the Andhra Pradesh should also write to the union government about in taking Stephen. Upon considering their request, the centre would take a call. Overall, this process would take about two weeks.
However, we hear that Stephen Ravindra is on leave from today in Telangana and is non-officially working in AP.
