Cheating Case Filed Against Arya

Tamil actor Arya has landed in legal trouble after a cheating case was registered against him at the Jubilee Hills Police Station in Hyderabad. The complaint was filed by a camera equipment rental company, alleging non-payment of dues related to the production of the film Ananthan Kaadu.
According to the complaint, Arya, producer Vinod, and representatives of the production house rented high-end digital cameras, lighting equipment, and other filmmaking gear for the project. The company alleged that it was assured all outstanding payments would be settled promptly.
The rental firm stated that it transported the expensive equipment from Hyderabad to Kerala at its own expense and provided technical support throughout the shoot. However, after filming was completed, the makers allegedly failed to clear more than ₹1.80 crore of the total outstanding amount of ₹2.12 crore.
The complainant further claimed that the producers had acknowledged the pending dues in writing and assured that the payment would be made before the film’s release. Despite several follow-ups through letters, phone calls, and WhatsApp messages, the amount reportedly remained unpaid.
The complaint also alleged that Arya, producer Vinod, and a personal assistant intimidated and threatened the company’s manager when he approached them seeking payment.
Based on the complaint, the Jubilee Hills Police have registered a cheating case and initiated an investigation. Further details are expected to emerge as the probe progresses.
