
Veteran Kapu leader and senior politician Mudragada Padmanabham passed away on Tuesday after battling prolonged health issues. He was 73.
Padmanabham had been undergoing treatment for multiple medical conditions over the past few months. His health deteriorated in recent days, following which he was placed on ventilator support at a private hospital in Hyderabad, where doctors made every effort to stabilize his condition.
Several political leaders and well-wishers had visited the hospital over the past week to inquire about his health. As he was reportedly able to interact with visitors, many had hoped his condition was improving. However, despite intensive medical care, he breathed his last on Tuesday.
Mudragada Padmanabham was regarded as one of the most prominent voices of the Kapu community and played a significant role in Andhra Pradesh politics for several decades. He earned recognition for his unwavering advocacy on issues concerning the community and remained an influential political figure throughout his public life.
His demise has prompted an outpouring of condolences from political leaders, supporters, and members of the public, who remembered him for his commitment to public service and his outspoken leadership.
