The Andhra Pradesh government has been maintaining close coordination with the NDA government at the Centre, especially with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan emerging as strong supporters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Recent developments indicate that the Andhra Pradesh leadership is now implementing an initiative inspired by Modi’s recent message on reducing fuel consumption. It was earlier reported that the Prime Minister had significantly reduced the size of his official convoy as part of an effort to promote responsible fuel usage and minimise unnecessary expenditure on petrol and diesel.

Following the same approach, Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan have reportedly decided to cut down the size of their official convoys by nearly 50 percent. The move is being seen as a symbolic yet impactful step towards encouraging fuel conservation and setting an example in public administration.

Sources suggest that similar instructions could soon be extended to other ministers in the Andhra Pradesh cabinet as well. The decision is being viewed as a practical measure aimed at promoting efficiency and responsible governance while aligning with the Centre’s broader message on reducing fuel dependency.
