Rebel Star Prabhas is currently working on the prestigious film Fauzi, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, a filmmaker known for his unique storytelling style. However, the film has been under production for quite some time, and the lack of a clear release date has left fans increasingly anxious. So far, the makers have not officially confirmed when the film will hit theatres.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Prabhas had initially dedicated his call sheets to Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit, with the director already preparing for its next shooting schedule. However, fresh industry buzz indicates that Prabhas has now reshuffled his priorities. He has reportedly decided to complete Fauzi before moving on to Spirit, dedicating nearly three months exclusively to the Hanu Raghavapudi project.

A significant portion of the film—almost 50 percent—was already completed during the schedules held between January and March this year. The plan now is to wrap up the remaining portions in a single stretch and aim for a December release.

Set against the backdrop of the British Indian Army in 1945, Fauzi is a period drama featuring Prabhas as a soldier. The film is said to move beyond conventional mass action elements and present one of the most complex and layered roles in his career. Hanu Raghavapudi has designed the character with multiple shades, focusing on the emotional and psychological transformation of a soldier during the pre-independence era. The role demands not only physical intensity but also deep emotional performance, making it one of the most challenging characters Prabhas has portrayed.

Unlike recent big-budget films where love tracks were criticized for being forced into the narrative, Fauzi is expected to present a naturally woven romantic angle. In line with the emotional storytelling style of Sita Ramam, the love story here is said to be an integral part of the narrative rather than a commercial addition. Social media sensation and dancer Imanvi is being introduced as the female lead, and the chemistry between Prabhas and Imanvi is expected to be one of the film’s major highlights.

The film also features veteran actors Mithun Chakraborty and Jayaprada in key roles, adding further strength to the cast. Sources suggest that Prabhas is keen on completing the project in a single continuous schedule to maintain the emotional continuity of his character, avoiding long breaks between shoots.

With a balanced blend of action, emotion, and romance, Fauzi is being positioned as a landmark project. The team is reportedly planning a grand theatrical release in the last week of December, with expectations of setting new box office records. While an official release date is yet to be announced, insiders hint that the makers will reveal it soon, once all production plans are firmly locked.
