Nani’s ambitious action spectacle “The Paradise” is reportedly shaping up to be the most expensive film of his career. Industry reports suggest that the project’s budget has already surpassed initial estimates and is now expected to cross the Rs 160-crore mark, highlighting the rising production scales in contemporary Telugu cinema.

According to industry sources, escalating production costs and extended shooting schedules have become increasingly common for big-ticket films. “The Paradise is likely to cross a budget of Rs 160 crore, making it Nani’s most expensive project so far,” a source noted.

From the outset, Nani reportedly envisioned The Paradise as a game-changing venture. Impressed by director Srikanth Odela’s vision, the actor is said to have encouraged producer Sudhakar Cherukuri to mount the film on a significantly larger scale than his usual projects. The producer, in turn, is believed to have fully supported the ambitious plan, investing what is said to be his highest-ever production budget.

Insiders reveal that the aim was to position the film as a pan-global entertainer that could expand Nani’s reach beyond his core audience and establish him as a stronger international presence.

However, the massive scale has also brought financial pressure, with reports suggesting that a major portion of the planned budget has already been utilised while filming is still in progress, and further costs are expected before completion.

Adding to its ambition, The Paradise is planned for release in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali, as well as English and Spanish. Trade analysts believe this extensive multilingual strategy reflects the makers’ confidence in positioning the film for a global audience.
