Megastar Chiranjeevi’s much-awaited fantasy entertainer Vishwambhara was completed quite some time ago, yet there is still no clarity on its theatrical release. The prolonged delay has become a major talking point, especially as the actor has already moved on to multiple new projects.

Interestingly, Chiranjeevi’s film Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, which began production after Vishwambhara, has already progressed significantly. He has also started shooting for his project with director Bobby, which is reportedly targeting a Sankranthi 2027 release. In contrast, Vishwambhara remains stuck without an official release plan.

Made on a grand scale with an estimated budget of around ₹200 crore, the film initially generated considerable excitement. However, the response to its promotional teasers reportedly dampened expectations, affecting the overall buzz surrounding the project.

Industry circles suggest that negotiations with OTT platforms have also become a challenge. While discussions were initially centered around valuation differences, the gap between expectations and offers is said to have widened over time, creating additional hurdles for the makers.

Another major concern reportedly involves pending payments to VFX vendors. Sources claim that dues amounting to nearly ₹23 crore are yet to be cleared, resulting in delays in the delivery of crucial visual effects work. Efforts are said to be underway to resolve the issue and complete the remaining post-production process.

Apart from the VFX challenges, financial obligations linked to the project are also believed to be a key factor behind the delay. Reports indicate that the makers are exploring various options to stabilize the situation before announcing a release date.

While there is speculation that Chiranjeevi may be willing to make financial adjustments regarding his remuneration to support the project, there has been no official confirmation regarding any broader financial arrangements. For now, fans continue to wait for clarity on when Vishwambhara will finally make its way to the big screen.
