Kiran Abbavaram’s upcoming film Chennai Love Story has registered impressive pre-release business, marking a career-best milestone for the actor. The film’s recent successful track record has helped create strong confidence among buyers, resulting in notable deals across various territories.

The theatrical rights are reportedly valued at around ₹23 crore, with Andhra Pradesh rights closed at ₹8 crore, Ceded at ₹3 crore, and Nizam rights at ₹8 crore. The overseas business has been locked at ₹4 crore, including a ₹1 crore recovery component.

The film’s audio rights were acquired by T-Series for ₹5 crore, with the makers’ previous success with the blockbuster album of Baby reportedly adding value to the deal. Meanwhile, the OTT rights have been finalized for ₹14 crore, while Hindi and satellite rights are yet to be closed.

With the completed deals, Chennai Love Story has achieved a total business valuation of around ₹42 crore, making it the biggest business milestone in Kiran Abbavaram’s career so far.

The film is scheduled to release on the 24th of this month. However, the makers may face a challenge as Jana Nayagan is also arriving on the same day. The Vijay starrer is carrying huge expectations, especially as it is expected to be his final film before focusing on his political journey, creating strong anticipation in Tamil Nadu and overseas markets.

Despite the competition, industry reports suggest that Chennai Love Story has generated positive buzz, and the film’s performance will depend on how well it connects with audiences after release.
