Ranveer Singh Chooses Silence Amid Don 3 Row

As the fallout over his reported exit from Farhan Akhtar’s much-awaited film continues to dominate Bollywood discussions, new reports suggest that the actor has decided to stay away from media interactions for an extended period.

According to reports, Ranveer Singh has reportedly chosen not to speak to journalists or give interviews until the release of his next film Pralay, directed by Jai Mehta.

A trade journalist was quoted as saying that he recently met Ranveer, who reportedly stated that he would not comment on the Don 3 controversy or participate in interviews for at least 18 months.

If true, this marks a significant image-control strategy from the actor at a time when his fallout with Farhan Akhtar has become one of the most discussed topics in Bollywood.

Reports claim Ranveer exited Don 3 due to creative differences with the makers, while some suggest dissatisfaction over production delays and an unsettled script.

On the other hand, Farhan Akhtar’s team reportedly maintained that Ranveer walked out just days before filming was set to begin, leading to financial setbacks for the production.

The situation further escalated into a legal dispute, with Excel Entertainment reportedly seeking ₹45 crore in compensation.

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees had also issued a non-cooperation directive against the actor, though it has now been revoked.

Interestingly, Ranveer’s reported 18-month media silence would also coincide with a significant personal phase, as Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone recently announced their second pregnancy in April 2026.

On the work front, Ranveer will next be seen in Pralay, a post-apocalyptic zombie thriller directed by Jai Mehta. Set in a devastated future version of Mumbai, the film is expected to feature AI-driven visuals.

Jai Mehta, known for Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story and Lootere, will make his theatrical directorial debut with this project, which is being produced by Hansal Mehta and Sameer Nair’s Applause Entertainment.

For now, Ranveer Singh appears to be letting silence take over as the Don 3 controversy continues to make headlines.
