Recently, he attended a film event where he shared that his career and life have completely changed after a certain phase in his journey. He is currently playing a key role in the upcoming Malayalam action thriller Katalaan, directed by Paul George and produced by Cubes Entertainments under the banner of Shereef Muhammad. The film features Antony Varghese, Jagadeesh, Kabir Duhan Singh, Sunil, and Dushara Vijayan in important roles and is scheduled for release on May 28.

Speaking at the event, Sunil said that his life entered a “surprising mode” after the success of Pushpa. He mentioned that offers started coming in from multiple languages, often without him even knowing which industry they were from or what kind of character he would be playing. He added that after watching Jailer, he went to a Kerala shoot location and was immediately handed dialogue papers in Tamil, reflecting the sudden multilingual demand for his work.

Talking specifically about Katalaan, Sunil revealed that he plays a character named “Maree,” which holds significant importance in the storyline. He described it as a highly satisfying and unique role, unlike anything he has done before. He also expressed surprise when he first heard the story and shared that he has even performed a song in the film. Sunil concluded by saying that the journey of Katalaan has been a very special experience for him.
