AAP targets Telangana: Arvind Kejriwal to visit Hyderabad April 14

It’s now almost official. A buoyed up and resurgent Aam Aadmi Party is now focusing on expansion and the party feels that the Telangana state is a ripe fruit ready to fall into its lap. The party has now decided to concentrate on building up the party in Telangana. As part of it, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal is set to tour the state on Ambedkar Jayanti Day, which falls on April 14.

He would conduct a detailed review meeting of the party and would launch padayatras in all the districts. The party workers would focus on listing out the problems such as unemployment, rising prices, massive corruption and faulty decisions of the TRS government and would launch agitations on these issues.

According to Incharge of south India for AAP, Somnath Bharti, the party is planning a massive expansion drive in South India in general and Telangana in particular. He said the party has set up a search committee, which would identify the right candidates for the district level organizing committees for the party. These committees would review the political situation on April 14. According to Somnath Bharti, the conditions in Telangana are favourable for the growth of AAP.

He said Arvind Kejriwal would visit the state for a day. He would celebrate the Ambedkar Jayanti in Telangana and then review the party’s organizational structure and the political situation in the state. He said that the party revers both martyr Bhagat Singh and Babasaheb Ambedkar as its ideals and hence Arvind Kejriwal attaches great importance to Ambedkar Jayanti.
