Sing Geetham Emerges as a Profitable Venture for Nag Ashwin

Nag Ashwin, the director of Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD, has surprised everyone by turning producer for a new project titled Sing Geetham, made in collaboration with veteran filmmaker Singeetham Sreenivasa Rao. The film, which has already been receiving positive early reviews, is now drawing attention for its strong financial planning and early profitability.

Industry reports suggest that Sing Geetham was made on an estimated budget of around ₹12 crore, including cast and crew remunerations. Music composer Devi Sri Prasad is said to have received the highest fee among the team, while the rest of the production was managed within a controlled budget.

Interestingly, the film’s OTT rights were reportedly sold for about ₹14 crore even before its release, ensuring table profits for the makers. Additional revenues from audio and other rights further boosted its pre-release earnings.

With positive word of mouth and growing audience response, the film has seen steady occupancy over the weekend, with expectations of stronger footfall on Sunday. The addition of extra shows in select multiplexes is also expected to improve its box office performance.

Trade estimates suggest that if the film collects an additional ₹5–8 crore theatrically, it could result in a total profit of around ₹10 crore, making it a successful venture in today’s competitive market.
