In recent years, celebrities across industries have been striving hard to build a strong pan-Indian image, regardless of language barriers. With the growing craze for pan-India cinema, even a single impactful role is enough to earn nationwide recognition. Many actresses are now using that popularity as a stepping stone to gain international attention as well.
From global fashion weeks to prestigious film festivals, Indian celebrities are making their presence felt on international platforms with stunning fashion statements, unique accessories, and eye-catching red carpet appearances.
Currently, the 79th Cannes Film Festival is taking place in grand style, and celebrities from Bollywood to Tollywood are dazzling audiences with their glamorous and experimental looks.
Among them, former Miss World and Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan once again grabbed everyone’s attention with her appearance on the Cannes red carpet. While her elegant outfit impressed fashion enthusiasts, the amount of effort that went into designing the gown has now become a major talking point.
For the event, Aishwarya wore a specially designed “Luminara” abyss blue gown created by designer Amit Aggarwal. Reports suggest that the custom couture piece took more than 1,500 hours to complete.
The gown, designed with intricate crystal embroidery, stood out for its striking visual appeal. One of its biggest highlights was the metallic wing-like structure around the shoulders, giving Aishwarya a majestic mermaid-inspired look on the red carpet.
She completed the ensemble with a black drape styled around her arms, adding extra elegance to the silhouette gown. Celebrity stylist Mohit Rai curated the overall look, while Aishwarya accessorized it with a blue choker and matching rings from a leading jewellery brand.
Once again, Aishwarya Rai proved why she continues to remain one of the biggest attractions at Cannes. Even after years in the industry, the actress still commands global attention with her style and grace.
On the professional front, Aishwarya was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan, which marked an important phase in her second innings as an actress.
Interestingly, this year’s Cannes appearance became even more special as her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan also attended the prestigious film festival and walked alongside her mother on the red carpet, drawing admiration from fans and media alike.
