Tollywood actor Rahul Ramakrishna, known for his strong pro-Telangana stance, has joined a group of political activists, leaders, and actors such as Prakash Raj in criticising Jana Sena Party president and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. The controversy erupted after Pawan Kalyan’s recent attempt to hold a meeting in Hyderabad.

Taking to X, Rahul Ramakrishna questioned Pawan Kalyan’s commitment to environmental and forest laws in Andhra Pradesh, urging him to focus on implementation rather than rhetoric on Telangana-related issues.

“Please ask for and show results on the implementation of PESA, the 1/70 Act and the Gram Sabha Act. Did you carry out afforestation programmes? The numbers seem dubious, as verified by an independent body. I am asking for filed and marked results. Jai Telangana!” Rahul posted.

He further added: “Apart from your usual bravado, have you implemented Section 4.1(b) of proactive disclosure under the Right to Information Act in every department and in every position you hold, sir? I’m asking because I’m your fan, and you need to constantly answer our questions.”

Rahul also questioned whether raising concerns or asking questions about Pawan Kalyan would amount to being labelled anti-national.
