Akshay Benefitting From ‘Laal Singh Chadda’ Controversy!

Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar is all set to lock horns with Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan on 11th August. While Akshay is arriving with a movie woven around sister sentiment titled ‘Raksha Bandhan’, Aamir is coming with the Indian adaptation of ‘Forrest Gump’ and it is titled ‘Laal Singh Chadda’. While it is a tough task to compete with Aamir Khan’s film since his movies break records most of the time, the situation is a bit different this time.

The comments made by Aamir Khan about intolerance in 2015 and still haunting him as a few sections of the public are demanding that ‘Laal Singh Chadda’ should be banned. Even Kareena who plays the lead in Aamir’s upcoming film made some controversial statements in the past which are working against ‘Laal Singh Chadda’. Despite Aamir himself coming out and explaining the situation, right wingers are not calming down. They are not ready to watch ‘Laal Singh Chadda’ at all costs. They are even influencing others through social media platforms by starting anti-Aamir Khan hashtags. Aamir faced the same situation during the release of ‘Thugs Of Hindustan’ too but Amitabh Bachchan’s presence in the film limited the agitation.

But the troubles of ‘Laal Singh Chadda’ are working in favour of Akshay Kumar and his movie ‘Raksha Bandhan’ is a complete entertainer with a good dose of emotions. Sister sentiment is the key factor of this film and people who are against Aamir’s film are openly supporting Akshay’s movie. This will have a huge impact on the opening day collections and all ‘Raksha Bandhan’ needs to do is to get a positive talk. On the other hand, Aamir’s film needs a unanimous hit talk right from the morning shows in order to overcome this heat and end up being successful on 11th August. Let us wait and see what happens.

OG 2 Buzz Builds for Pawan Kalyan

After the disappointment of Ustaad Bhagat Singh, Pawan Kalyan fans had mentally prepared themselves for a long wait, as there were no immediate films ready to go on floors. His busy political commitments also made it clear that he would not be focusing on movies in the near future.

However, a recent update has suddenly changed the mood among fans. Reports suggest that work on the much-anticipated sequel/prequel to his gangster drama OG, directed by Sujeeth, is moving forward. Pawan Kalyan’s production house has hinted that story discussions for the sequel will begin once Sujeeth returns to India from his foreign trip.

Since OG impressed audiences with Sujeeth’s stylish presentation of Pawan Kalyan, expectations for the sequel have already started building even before the script is locked. Buzz also indicates that OG 2 could go on floors towards the end of this year.

However, there is also a strong discussion around what needs to be improved this time. Fans and industry observers feel that Pawan Kalyan must avoid the scheduling issues that affected the first part. OG reportedly faced criticism in some sections as the director had to adjust and compromise due to the actor’s limited availability.

For the sequel, it is being suggested that Pawan Kalyan should allocate a dedicated and uninterrupted block of dates to ensure smooth shooting and better output. Since he currently has no active film commitments, aligning schedules in advance could help the team execute the project without delays. At the same time, he also needs to balance his responsibilities as Deputy Chief Minister, given the importance of his political role.

If the earlier structural and scheduling issues are addressed, OG 2 has the potential to exceed expectations and emerge as a new benchmark in regional action cinema.
