Allari Naresh: I decided to go naked in ‘Naandhi’

Allari Naresh is playing an intense role in ‘Naandhi’ and he has never played any such character in his career till date and the teaser suggests the same.

Speaking about that particular scene in which he went naked, Naresh said, “The director was not comfortable asking me to go naked for this scene. He suggested me to put on some boxers. But I felt the scene will intensity if I go naked and I did so. Actors like Rajasekhar have also gone naked for particular scenes in their films. I did what is best for the film and my character in particular,” he said.

Naresh further added that ‘Naandhi’ is based on police brutality and they enquired about various such incidents in the process of scripting and spent 4 months on the same. He cites Jayraj and Bennicks incident which took place in Tamil Nadu as one of the examples of police brutality. “That doesn’t mean I attribute brutality to the entire police department.” he adds.

The ‘Maharshi’ actor says his next film is titled ‘Bangaru Bullodu’ and he plays pawnbroker in it. “The film is a comedy entertainer with a hint of sentiments.”

Naresh says he is watching many web series’ during the lockdown period and is reading new scripts which are being sent to him through mails.
