Amid Owaisi’s Visit To Up, Aimim Was Asked To Remove Flexies!

The Hyderabad-based All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) under the leadership of the Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has been slowly spreading its wings by contesting the elections in other states as well. The party mainly contests constituencies that enjoy a good share of the Muslim population.

Under the mission expansion, AIMIM had announced that it will run the upcoming General elections in Uttar Pradesh and a conference will be held today. The campaign will be started from Ayodhya and the AIMIM activists have erected flexes also.

However, the flexies erected by the AIMIM activists in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya had drawn the ire of the seers of various temples and organizations. The reason for this is that the flexies mention Ayodhya as Faizabad.

The seers have called for a protest strongly condemning the flexis that were erected by the AIMIM. They even placed a demand that the flexies should be removed at the earliest or else the meeting cannot be held.

The Uttar Pradesh wing of AIMIM had hit back at the backlash claiming that the BJP and its supporters are making a fuss about the situation and they are trying to create an issue for the meeting as they fear the growing support for the AIMIM.

The Uttar Pradesh AIMIM Chief Shaukat Ali said, their fight is not only for the Muslims for the other communities as well that are facing issues from the BJP. For this, the people from communities and Upper Cast were also invited to the meeting.

The AIMIM gave hope to people that it is the alternative for the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP). The other communities feel that they are betrayed by the parties like Samajwadi Party (SP), the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), and Congress. We will fight for them, he maintained.

Amid the uproar created by the posters that refer to Ayodhya as Faizabad, the Uttar Pradesh Police had asked the AIMIM union of UP to remove these posters as they can create a tense situation in the state. Asaduddin Owaisi will start a three-day visit to Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. On day one of his visit, he will address a conference at 7 PM.
