After a gap of three years, Rowdy hero Vijay Deverakonda arrived in theatres with ‘Liger’. The film was released under massive expectations and Vijay sounded so confident before it came out. But the movie turned out to be a colossal disappointment and trade pundits predict that it is on its way to becoming a huge disaster.
Fans were severely hurt by Puri Jagannadh’s blow par writing and execution. Whilst everyone is bashing the film, the ‘Arjun Reddy’ hero was spotted enjoying India vs Pakistan match that was held in Dubai. As it is known, the Indian Men’s Cricket team is playing the Asia Cup in UAE and the most hyped India-Pakistan match happened on Sunday where India emerged victorious.
Apart from the nail-biting game, it was Vijay Deverakonda’s presence in the stadium which garnered a lot of attention. Dressed in a white kurta, Vijay is seen enjoying the game and extending his support to team India. He even had a chat with the commentators and his clicks from the stadium are currently going viral.
After a disastrous result like ‘Liger’, Vijay is tied up with Puri Jagannadh for another project named ‘Jana Gana Mana’. Produced by Charmme and Puri, the first schedule has already been wrapped up and dusky siren Pooja Hegde is the heroine in it. Vijay is also working on a romantic entertainer titled ‘Khushi’, directed by ‘Majili’ and ‘Ninnu Kori’ fame Shiva Nirvana. Samantha is playing the female in this project. He also announced a project with intelligent filmmaker Sukumar and this movie is expected to start at the end of 2023.

Pawan Kalyan Puts Surender Reddy Film on Hold?
July 13, 2026

The proposed film starring Pawan Kalyan and directed by Surender Reddy is reportedly facing an uncertain future, with industry sources suggesting that the project has been put on hold due to script-related concerns.
The project was announced last year by producer Ram Talluri as the launch venture of his new production banner. Surender Reddy was signed on to direct the film, while Vakkantham Vamsi was entrusted with developing the story and screenplay. The announcement generated considerable excitement among fans, who expected the combination to go on floors soon.
However, despite nearly a year passing since the announcement, there has been no official progress on the film. According to the latest buzz in industry circles, the delay is linked to the script not receiving Pawan Kalyan’s approval.
Sources claim that Pawan Kalyan was initially impressed with the core idea presented by Surender Reddy and Vakkantham Vamsi. He reportedly asked the duo to develop it into a complete screenplay before making a final decision.
After spending several months refining the script, the team is said to have given a detailed narration to the actor. However, the final version reportedly failed to meet his expectations. Industry insiders suggest that Pawan Kalyan felt the screenplay lacked the required emotional depth and overall impact, prompting him to withhold his approval.
As a result, the project has reportedly been put on hold. The makers are expected to revisit the script, and the film may only move forward if Surender Reddy and Vakkantham Vamsi come back with a substantially reworked version. If that does not happen, there is speculation that the project could eventually be shelved, though no official confirmation has been made.
Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan’s recent interaction with director Sujeeth has reignited excitement among fans of the OG franchise. During a public appearance, the actor reaffirmed his commitment to the OG universe and assured the team of his full support, further raising anticipation for future developments.
While fans continue to await updates on OG 2, the proposed Surender Reddy project remains in limbo, with its future depending entirely on whether the revised script succeeds in winning Pawan Kalyan’s approval.
