Even before Tollywood came out of the grief following the sudden passing away of music director Devi Sri Prasad’s father and senior writer Satyamurthy, successful music composer Anup Rubens suffered a major loss as his mother Manoharam passed away just a while ago. Manoharam was 65.
This morning, Manoharam slipped and fell down in her bathroom and sustained severe injuries. Apparently, she even suffered a heart stroke due to the mishap. Manoharam was immediately rushed to the hospital in a crucial condition, where doctors treated her in ICU.
However, all the efforts were in vain as Manoharam breathed her last just a while ago. Anup is extremely attached to his mother and he even dedicated the superhit ‘Kanipenchina Ma Ammake’ song from Manam to his mother in a TV interview. We extend our deepest condolences and pray for strength to Anup and his family members in this time of grief.

Drishyam 3 Telugu Remake Dropped, Hindi Version Gets Changes
June 10, 2026

The Drishyam franchise continues to remain one of the biggest success stories in Indian cinema, with its original Malayalam versions being remade across multiple languages, including Telugu. However, unlike the earlier installments, Drishyam 3 has not been remade in Telugu. Instead, the original version has been made available to audiences in a dubbed format.
Filmmaker Jeethu Joseph recently spoke about the reasons behind the absence of a Telugu remake. He explained that the climax he envisioned for Drishyam 3 may not be easily accepted in other language markets, especially when adapted for established regional stars. According to him, audiences strongly associate certain heroes with specific screen expectations, which could make such an ending difficult to adapt.
Interestingly, Jeethu also revealed that the film is being remade in Hindi, but with modifications. The Hindi version reportedly raised concerns over the original climax and requested changes to better align with audience preferences. The director agreed to those alterations, and the Hindi adaptation is currently progressing with the revised version.
When asked about the future of the franchise, Jeethu Joseph clarified that Drishyam 4 is not currently in development. He stated that he has not yet developed a convincing storyline for the next installment and cannot confirm another sequel at this stage.
Reports also suggest that a Telugu version of Drishyam 3 was initially planned with Venkatesh, who successfully led the earlier Telugu remakes. However, due to creative differences, the project was reportedly shelved, leaving the film’s Telugu remake uncertain for now.
