AP minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy dies of heart attack

Andhra Pradesh Industries, Commerce, and Information Technology Mekapati Goutham Reddy died of a heart attack this morning, leaving everyone in shock.

As per reports, Goutham Reddy was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad due to a heart attack on Sunday. He returned to India from Dubai yesterday after attending Dubai Expo. He was 50.

Mekapati Goutham Reddy was a member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly representing Atmakur (Assembly constituency) of Nellore district for the second time.

For the unversed, a heart attack is a condition in which the flow of the blood to the heart is stopped. There can be several probable reasons behind the blockage. The most common cause is an accumulation of fat, cholesterol and other substances, known as a “plaque build-up” in the arteries.
