Asuran actor Nitish Veera dies of Covid at 45

During the second wave of Covid-19, the Tamil film industry has witnessed many deaths in the past few months. Now, yet another talented actor succumbed to the deadly virus.

Actor Nitish Veera, who is known for his performances in ‘Pudhupettai’ and ‘Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu’ has passed away after testing positive for the Coronavirus. The 45-year-old actor breathed his last at a private hospital in Chennai.

Nitish Veera, who is from Madurai, has two daughters, aged 8 and 7. The actor had also acted in significant roles in films like Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’ and Dhanush’s ‘Asuran’. He started his career with Pudhupettai in 2006.

Nitish is a part of Vijay Sethupathi’s upcoming film Laabam, directed by the late S P Jananathan. The film is expected to hit the screens later this year. The Tamil film fraternity extended their deep condolences to the actor’s family through their social media handles.
