One of the most prominent awards of the country, the 67th National Awards are being presented at New Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan today. Several celebrities were honoured the prestigious awards by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu.
Making Tollywood proud, Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Maharshi and Nani’s Jersey have won two National Awards each. Maharshi was awarded Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and Best Choreography.
Director Vamsi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju have received awards from Venkaiah Naidu.
“We are truly honoured to receive #NationalAward for #Maharshi as The Best Popular Film providing wholesome entertainment. We would like to thank @urstrulyMahesh & @directorvamshi. This wouldn’t have been possible without you,” Sri Venkateswara Creations tweeted after receiving the award.
On the other hand, Superstar Rajinikanth was conferred with Dadasaheb Phalke Award, India’s highest film honour in Delhi today.
