The All India Suriya Fans Welfare Association has issued an official clarification dismissing speculation about actor Suriya’s entry into politics. The statement comes after rumors began circulating on social media following a fans’ meeting held on June 28.

According to the association, special invitee Sira Veeramani expressed his personal views during the gathering and clearly stated that his remarks did not represent the organization’s official position. However, portions of his speech were allegedly shared online out of context, leading to misleading claims that Suriya was preparing for a political career.

Refuting the speculation, the fans’ association reiterated that Suriya has no plans to enter politics at present. It emphasized that the actor remains dedicated to serving society through his philanthropic initiatives rather than pursuing a political path.

The statement highlighted Suriya’s continued commitment to the Agaram Foundation, which has been actively supporting educational opportunities for underprivileged students. It also noted that he remains actively involved in various welfare activities carried out through his fans’ association.

To avoid further confusion, the organization clarified that Sira Veeramani has not been part of its administration for the past three years. It urged fans and the public not to believe unverified social media posts and advised that only statements issued by the association’s authorized office-bearers should be treated as official.

With this clarification, the fans’ association has sought to put an end to the political speculation, reaffirming that Suriya’s current focus remains on cinema and social service.
