Balakrishna donates Covid-19 medicines worth Rs 20 Lakh

When the nation battling the second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic, several celebrities are helping those in distress.

Actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna, who is the MLA of Hindupur, has now come forward to help his constituency people by providing COVID-19 medicines worth Rs. 20 lakhs from Hyderabad.

The Legend actor sent medicines worth Rs 20 lakh to his constituency people from his hospital in Hyderabad. It was decided to distribute the medicines free of cost to all those affected by corona. In a special vehicle, all the required medicines were packaged and kept in boxes and distributed.

Covid-19 intensity is high in Hindupur. There seem to be over two thousand active cases. A few days ago, some patients died due to lack of oxygen at Hindupur government hospital due to lack of state-of-the-art facilities like ventilators.

During the first wave, the actor donated Rs 50 lakh for the hospital, but there were rumours that the officials misused the money. With this, Balakrishna helped the patients directly instead of going to the hospital.
